Venus will be retrograde this summer from July 22nd until September 3rd. Join astrologers Aerin Fogel and Julie Simmons to explore the themes of the retrograde, which will undoubtedly be a journey of the heart. As each of us finds some edge of intimacy within ourselves, we also see the greater question of what it means in the world to continue with an open heart against many odds. Participants will learn where the Venus retrograde occurs in their personal charts and which life areas will be impacted, and have the opportunity to personalize their understanding of this time period. This training will begin with a small educational component to learn more about light particles, light weaving, and its many uses. The Present Meets the Future

Join Aerin Fogel for a workshop on Jupiter and Neptune as they approach their upcoming conjunction (meeting in the sky). Learn about what Jupiter and Neptune each represent, as well as the meaning behind their planetary cycle and its significance in our cultural and socioeconomic reality. We will examine Jupiter Neptune conjunctions and historical themes from the last century, and address how those themes are present in 2022. This planetary cycle asks us where (and with whom) we belong, and how we determine shared values and meaning. Are oneness and sameness different, or identical concepts?

Workshop participants (or anyone registered in advance) will be able to learn about where the conjunction is happening in their individual charts, and how this may impact their lives.

As we emerge from 2021, many unanswered questions remain around how to build a better world after so many structures have crumbled. As we move out of 2020, the planetary picture changes. Threshold of a New Age

A workshop with Julie Simmons and Aerin Fogel.

Jupiter joins Saturn in Aquarius on December 21st, 2020. Every 20 years these two planets meet, and their conjunctions are called ‘Great’ conjunctions. Down through the ages astrologers have used them to gain insight into the socioeconomic trends of the following 20 years.

Every 200 or so years the elemental realm of these conjunctions shifts so that the entire cycle of 200 years per element (of which there are four) takes between 800 and 900 years to complete itself.

Our next conjunction at the end of 2020 is at zero degrees of the sign of Aquarius, the beginning of a new elemental phase for Jupiter and Saturn. Given that we are also poised at the threshold of the Age of Aquarius, it seems an especially significant meeting of these two planets.

Join us to discuss the symbolism for the world in general as well as where it falls in your personal chart and what that might mean for you, personally.

Mars is the warrior, both spiritual and the other kind. Mars is the hero who faces the danger, and is therefore a symbol of fear and courage. Mars is the force of the uprising against injustice in our world, but Mars is also the brutal force that overwhelms it. 

Mars goes retrograde every two and a half years and when it does, it’s time to ask the right questions. This workshop will show you where to find the ‘right questions’ for your life, both in the world and in your personal birth chart. You do not have to be an astrologer to explore the workings of Mars.

Venus will be retrograde From May 13 through June 25 this year. Our ancestors saw this cosmic dance (which happens 5 times in 8 years) as an opportunity to enact the powerful and universal human experience of loss and renewal.

This particular Venus retrograde seems to be about the lies we tell ourselves so that we can believe the lies of others, an issue we are facing in the world at the moment. What would it mean to show up as our authentic selves in relationship, and not a version we have created? In the midst of global self-isolation, some search for connection, and others burn out on it. Venus retrograde asks us to find in our heart what truly matters.

Aerin Fogel, astrologer and creator of Venus Fest, and Julie Simmons, astrologer of 40+ years, will be offering some astrological wisdom along with a ritual to honour this sacred journey. Using our own birth charts we will explore the question of lies, masks and love; consider what needs to be let go of and where resistance lies. Join professional astrologer Aerin Fogel for this afternoon workshop on initiation and astrology. 

Though we are each born with a natal chart that contains information about what may unfold in our lives, we are also born with the capacity to transform and overcome profound difficulties. This afternoon workshop will examine the cultural practice of 'initiation,' and how we can facilitate great change for ourselves and the challenging aspects in our charts. 

The first half of the workshop will be an interactive lecture style, and the second half will be an opportunity to look at participant charts. We will see what can be initiated in each chart, and using the material from the workshop, how we can go about doing that. 

Pre-registration is required, as well as birth data if you would like to look at your individual chart (though it's not a requirement).
